Kiwi + Yogurt Exfoliant (via Women’s Health Magazine)

If you have sensitive skin, this homemade kiwi + yogurt facial exfoliant is perfect for you!  Yogurt has lactic acid which helps exfoliate in a non-abrasive way.

Ingredients:

  • 1 kiwi
  • 2 tablespoons of yogurt
  • 2 teaspoons of olive oil

Directions: 

  1. Remove the kiwi’s skin and mash 
  2. Mix your mashed kiwi with the yogurt and olive oil in a bowl
  3. Rub the formula in gentle circles around your face 
  4. Rinse face with cold water until clean
  5. Spoon any leftover mixture into an airtight container and store in the refrigerator

Banana + Oatmeal Scrub (via Healthline)

If you tend to have an oily complexion, make this banana + oatmeal facial scrub! 

Bananas contain nutrients like potassium, vitamin C, and traces of vitamin A. They also contain silica, a mineral element and relative of silicone, which can help boost collagen production in your skin.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 2 tablespoons of oats
  • 1 tablespoon of organic plain Greek yogurt

Directions:

  1. Smash the banana with a fork until smooth
  2. Grind oats in a food processor until powdery and fine
  3. Mix all ingredients in a small bowl
  4. Apply to face in circular motions 
  5. Rinse face with cold water until clean
  6. Spoon any leftover mixture into an airtight container and store in the refrigerator

Almond + Green Tea Scrub (via Women’s Health Magazine)

If you’re in need of hydrated skin, this scrub is for you! Almonds will leave your face feeling smooth and moisturized while green tea provides vital antioxidants to dry skin.

Ingredients:

  • 5 unsalted almonds
  • 1 tablespoon of yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon of green tea leaves

Directions: 

  1. Place almonds into a food processor until finely ground
  2. Mix ground almonds with yogurt and green tea to form a paste
  3. Apply to face in circular motions
  4. Rinse face with cold water until clean
  5. Spoon any leftover mixture into an airtight container and store in the refrigerator
