Hi, LBX’plorers! For this week’s Virtual Kids Club, you’ll want to grab your favorite snacks and a cozy blanket. Fall is the perfect time for an outdoor picnic with your loved ones, which is why we’ve chosen a picnic theme! Today, we’ll be reading The Perfect Picnic before making an adorable, customizable picnic scene craft.

The Perfect Picnic is a side-splitting story from London-based writer and illustrator Ciara Flood that follows furry friends Squirrel and Mole as they try to enjoy a countryside picnic. Through beautiful illustrations and text, the book will teach you about patience, friendship, and forgiveness. If you would to read along with us at home, purchase a copy of the book here

Check out the list of materials you’ll need to make your very own picnic scene craft below!
